Transfiguration Monastery

The former Transfiguration Monastery is situated in Bogoyavlenskaya square. Is represents a huge white fortress dating fom the 17^th - 19^th centuries. Now it houses the main museum of Yaroslavl which contains numerous masterpieces of art and architecture.
